Alexandrite. , why dose it look green ? I have owned mine , set in gold for over 20 years , they no longer ship the stone out of the country ... Color is deep pink/purple ..that reflects many other colors , Yes Alexandrite. is a very rare stone to find now days , My mother bought mine like around 35 years ago ! I have never seen or heard of a green one , it is very interesting !
Oh I wish I could find something like that too... He's able to find people who have collections of gemstones and get some really good deals... He got me a natural Madagascar Ruby for a good price. It's certified and everything..
I predict before this auction is over you just might get 20,000 credits. Beautiful stone and such a rarity to get a loose alexandrite gemstone on listia for credits. I had a friend of mine who happens to be a jeweler pay for over a 2 carat flawless loose alexandrite for a little over three grand.
