Since the early 1980s, Donruss regularly featured the top rookie prospects in their set as "Rated Rookies". The Rated rookie logo is one of the most recognizeable trademarks of the hobby. Even after Donruss was bought out by Panini in recent years, Panini has continued the tradition of using the Rated Rookie logo on the top prospects in Donruss-themed sets.
