This brings back memories, I was in a band in the late 80's. this is the same Guitar/Bass tuner we used. It's was a very good tuner for it's era. We used it on stage a lot for quick tuning. It was fast, just unplug from the amp and right in to this. Only thing , it must be quiet to use without a cord. Good luck
