Cant you just put this in a regular envelope & tape it inside of a card & mail it, it would be ALOT cheaper; would you be willing to do that, if so I will BID HIGH, & I am sure you will get alot more bids!

In a word NO and let me for one last time explain why. I put this ring in an envelope and slap a stamp on it, as is the popular notion, if it makes it to the buyers house in one piece, I would be considered lucky... but then the buyer simply states that they didn't receive the item. Because I just slapped a stamp on it, Listia gives the buyer back their credits and now I am out the item, the credits and the cost of a stamp. Oh yeah and the buyer can leave negative feedback for never receiving the item, so I get that too. This charge insures that the item arrives safely and in the exact same condition as it was when it left my possession, it also allows the buyer to track their item from the moment it is shipped and also gives me conformation that the package did arrive and when. Now if you would prefer your item simply be put in a regular envelope, then I am sure there are a lot of people on here willing to arrange that kind of shipping. I am not one of them. If that means that I will lose bids, so be it. Finally, if you don't want to pay shipping, move on to another auction, if you bother to review my feedback, you will see that people who have won auctions that were not free shipping have been happy with the shipping they paid for. So NO I am not willing to risk the item being damaged, lost or stolen simply to make you or anyone else feel better about placing a bid. AND... here is what I have noticed, people complain about shipping cost if it is not free, then if it is free they complain about starting bids or if starting bids are at zero but GIN is high to offset the free shipping they complain about that as well. It is so absurd! I want to insure that people who bid and win, get their item in as little time as possible and that it arrives in pristine condition, I will not make apologies for that. Now if there are any questions about the item itself, I will be happy to answer them, but any further shipping comments or questions will not be answered.
