Growing an Evening Primrose plant is a great way to start off the spring. The blooms open up in early evening and release a sweet smell that will let you know that winter is over for sure. Evening Primrose plants make wonderful additions to flower beds. This is because even though they can grow five feet tall, they usually only grow one or two feet high. This puts them at a nice midpoint, size-wise, between many common and popular different types of flowers. Try to grow them in the middle row of a multi-tiered flower bed, with shorter plants (e.g., petunias) in front, and taller ones (e.g., azaleas) in the back.
