These are my mothers chives! They are very hardy where we live here in Indiana. I plant them inside a pot, and then leave them out until right before the first frost. They are very productive and have excellent flavor. The chive blossoms are excellent as well; picked just before opening and stir fried with mushrooms in butter with a bit of soy sauce! They grow all throughout the winter indoors as well in a sunny window, and give us fresh chives all winter long. They also spread out quickly and fill up a big pot, so it doesn't take long to get a lot of them from just a little. 25 seeds is definitely enough to fill 2 big pots!
