Description

The listing, RINGS, RINGS, RINGS AND MORE RINGS!!!! COMMENTS ON ALL THE FAKE STUFF YOU HAVE GOTTEN WELCOME :) has ended.

Well, most of these rings I won on here and most were described as the "REAL" Deal, NOT, lol.
There are some that are marked 14kHGE, one marked 14k, it is not 14k, one has a real pearl and one has a real ruby, one is marked 18kHGE, a few are adjustable, please do not ask for the different sizes, they vary. There are 30 rings all together, one is not in the pictures, I found it after I had taken them. Again, none of these are real gold or silver. Just really nice costume rings:) A few do have some wear, but nothing that would make them unwearable.

I actually did this listing to make a point, most of these, with a few exceptions are rings I won on here, now some I took a chance on and others were outright lied about. I am so tired of people listing stuff as 10k or 14k, then when you get it, there are either no marks or letters like GE or HGE after the 10k or 14k, I love the, you should have asked more questions or I am not a Jeweler, guess what, when the copper is showing, it is not real, when it has letters after the hallmark like GE or HGE or GF, it is not real. As a Seller, I would never do this to another member and another thing that really bugs me is the comments, well, it is for free, nothing is for free, I work very hard for my credits, as I know many others do and I think it is downright evil to mis-lead people, especially since many on here are on hard times and this may be their only chance to get something nice, some of these were just low credits, some were not, maybe this will show people to be honest and fair. Ok, done venting, lol.

I guess I need to be clearer, NONE OF THE RINGS ARE REAL, There are 2 with real stones, 1 has a real ruby and one has a real pearl.
Questions & Comments

Agree a lot of fake stuff floating around- its so aggravating to have credits tied up and pay for return shipping for an item obviously not as described! However, there was a time when someone told me the item I sold them was fake. I didn't intentionally mislead anyone (you wont often find better descriptions than mine) as it was stamped looked real etc. ( I can't possibly get every piece of jewelry tested by a pro.) And I said alright- I'm sorry ill pay for return shipping and give you every credit back after you upload the tracking I paid for.

There is a difference between folks who do it on purpose (often and it's very frustrating) and a rare occasion where there is an oopsie and the seller takes full responsibility.

I totally agree, that there is a difference, I am talking about the ones that will get nasty about it and/or intentionally do it or just plain won't own up to their own mistakes.

It gets very disappointing, I know, you wait for the Auction, you set your schedule around it so you can be there to bid and then people are downright dis-honest, not to mention rude (

You Rock Evelyn!! I also won several rings herefor my family members and they simply put it in a regular envelope and of course it was bent and ruined when it was delivered. It was even showing through..mangled.Sigh.then there was the one that said the ring was signed (sure it was signed.."made In China" lol)

Love love this one Evelyn!! Hugs and Blessings!!

YEAAAA, love the comments, your all so right,, glad to here the comments,, one thing i think listia should do is, on the auction placing sight, put a box at the front of the title, for the size, it drives me nuts to have to go into every auction to find the size, theres a lady on here named lulu that does the best auctions, she always put the size first in front of title..,,, i alway give a great discription on my items, and free shipping, but i have lost so much return shipping, because people are not honest,,, i think we should be able to get are shipping back in listia credits from there account, boy that would teach them,,,, i got a package of makeup, they put it in a cardboard envelope and it was way to much, they couldn't close it, so the taped it up with all kinds of differant tape to cover the open side, worst mess i ever seen, and i ended up having to pay 1.70 for the shipping because of it, i was nice and told her about it, she got mad and went and left a bad feedback for me,telling people i was trying to rip her off, and telling them not to trust me, i gave her a good feedback, but i got the worst of it....i was going to just forget about the charge for shipping, but she got ugly about it.......thanks for all the comments...

I can't tell you how many packages I have received with postage due or paid to have it shipped, be fake and then have to ship it back out of my own pocket as well, I think if it is not as described, they should have to reimburse in credits as well, good idea :)

Ok, I'll jump in here also. i see so many of the same complaints. I have fussed and fussed to Listia to no avail. Is there no way to make Listia actually LISTEN to us? So many times I bid on something, just to have to wait to get my points returned. I say make sure they are VERIFIED, with a valid checking account. At least we'll know they aren't 12 years old, and out to scam us! Sure, we see the moderators saying do this, or do that, but there are no consequences when they don't comply with pictures, description, etc. I say if your feedback is always negative, you should have been booted OFF of here! I want the "Legend" people back, anyone remember them?

Yes Ma'am I remember the Legend's, I spend many hours of my time exposing Scammer's on here that steal Listings from sites like ebay, esty, rubylane and many others, I have a dispute right now, the person is 15 years old and foul mouthed as a Sailor, still waiting on that one, it is very irritating and the sob stories they give when you ask for your credits back, we all have our burdens to bear, but I can't stand when someone uses it to manipulate someone into feeling sorry for them.

I sell on ebay and tophatter, like alot of people here who sell on other sites for cash and I bring the same items to all. I don't agree that only fake stuff is sold, I have run into these same problems on cash sites as well. I actually have had more issues with cash sites than on here, so for people reading all this don't let it deter you from using listia and having a good time. Just like anything you would buy, ask questions if your not satisfied with the listing and if in doubt, DON'T BID.

I agree with you that not everything on here is fake, I think I just said that in a previous post, I am talking about the ones that intentionally mis-lead, swear it is real, lie to you in the comments or lie in their descriptions,. yes, asking questions sometimes helps, but more often it does not. Telling people DON'T BID is not a solution either, however requiring Seller's and Buyer's to follow Listia's rules will, Ebay has very strict rules on listing fake gold or silver and you are held accountable as far as I have been told and from what I have read about their rules. I find that more people here think it is no big deal because the item is supposedly "free" which is not really true, people buy credits and list nice things to obtain credits and often spend them on things they would otherwise not be able to buy or even afford. I did this so people can vent, because frankly the disputes I have had are all about the listing being completely dis-honest and the item lied about.

i got a ring not long ago and it was costume jewelry ( which i didn't mind) but the seller have never stated either way what it was. then it' didn't fit and was supposed to be my size(was way too big). well i relisted it honestly as costume jewelry and correct size and gave them the complete information about where i got it how many credits i gave for it and all. the new buyer didn't even blink an eye and used my low GIN offer which was less than i gave. when she got it she was very pleased. all i did was simply tell the TRUTH. why can't more people do it. thanks evelyn for your absolute honesty in listing. it is refreshing.

I think maybe Listia should have a help section like ebay does where it gives some "advice" on telling if something is fake or real. That way the people who do care and are just not educated in that area can see what is going on. No matter what Listia should have some kind of way for people to complain and resolve issues on here and if you get so many negative feedbacks then your suspended etc. I try really hard to make sure what I list is true and I make really sure when I send something it is packed well. I guess I have been lucky, but getting stuff off from here I did notn hav very high expectations to begin with,so I have not been very surprised by some of the things I have come across so far.

My problem is actually not so much with Listia, they have rules and for the most part they work, my problem is with people that think because it is "free" they are doing no harm and it is only for "credits", when you are on the receiving end of losing 100,000 or more credits, even for awhile, it is annoying to say the least. Claiming ignorance of knowledge does not justify taking something from someone else under false pretenses, like their credits, which are in no way "free" is what really makes me mad. I believe that if I make an error it is my responsibility to correct it, unfortunately too many on here think that because they are ignorant of a particular item, they should be able to get away with it, that is what gets me, I am like you, I educate myself about what I list, package it well, I treat others like I want to be treated.

I spent over $1,000 on shipping in 2012. It burns me to send an item, the usps loses it.I get a neg ,plus lose the item, and postage, then the credits given back to the person and then you don't know if the person just didn't like the item and wants their credits back...Sure I could do confirmation, but that would have added about another thousand to the shipping.

I also sold a. Gold rope chain market ITALY 14K. In my description I said I honestly feel its plated or filled, I had a lot of people comment It probably was real and I'm stupid for GIN so low but you know your gut, right? The man was so super nice and did state it was not solid 14K like I had stated, he said he gave it to his nephew and he liked it. I really felt bad. Had it been solid he probably would have jumped for joy. I also had a lot of really old rings I believed to be solid 14Kt but later found out other wise, If I know or feel it to be fake I promise to all Listians to disclose this fact :)

I understand that people may not know and most are kind enough to understand that if the person who won the item has it checked and it is not, they will let them return it for a refund of credits, I get upset with the ones that get downright nasty and foulmouthed, intentionally leave out information that is relevant, nowadays it is easy to find out if your item is real or not, most any Jewelry store, Pawn shop or the gold buying shops popping up everywhere test the items for free in hopes of buying them from you and there are easy ways to do basic tests for one self, a simple emeryboard is a great way to test combined with a magnifying glass, just file the item in a less visible spot, the inside of a link for example, then look at the filed area with the glass, if you see silver or copper, it is plated, it may still be fake if gold is showing (brass) but it is a way to check, another good way is to actually take the piece into your hands and rub it vigorously until the friction produces heat, we all have acid in our skin which will react with non gold metals, gold has no odor but base metals do and you will smell them (kinda rotten egg or metallic smell), now this methods are not fool proof, the only true way is an acid test.

LOL..I'm still hanging in here and hoping..I did want to add that my rural Post Office makes huge mistakes all the time and fluffs off on me when I complain. I mailed a Priority, Insured with delivery confirmation out on the 10th of this month. The Post Office never scanned it at any of it's stops on it's way. I did send the person photos of my Insured, and Priority with delivery confirmation. Both forms showed the person name and address and the postal stamps showing the 10th of Jan this year. This still hasn't been delivered either.

I understand that is what you meant, I mean you are wrong about most items being fake, it was not that way when I started on here, it has gotten that way in the last 6 months or so and people just need to be honest, many don't cash their gold in for money, most of those places do nothing but rip you off, I do better getting credits on here for mine and getting things I want and/or need.

As someone who knows Evelyn personally, She holds no punches when ***** off and she tells no lies. She is ALWAYS 100% honest. ALWAYS HAS BEEN AND ALWAYS WILL BE. She in not my blood sister but she is my sister none the less. So if she tells you something is real, you can bet you last dime its exactly what she says it is. I have seen her have to break the news to people in person when they believe they have real gold after being told by "jewelers" it was real. She hurts for the customer and for someone to do that to her is down right dirty!!! If i had the credits, I would buy them just so she could get her hard earned credits back. Love ya Sister!
