Neil Simon's Last of the Red Hot Lovers is a 1972 comedy film based on Neil Simon's play of the same name. Barney Cashman (Arkin), a middle-aged married man, wants to join the sexual revolution before it is too late. A gentle soul with no experience in adultery, he fails in each of his attempted seductions.

Description from IMDb: A middle aged restaurateur begins to feel the desire to roam and realizes that one day each week, his mother's apartment will be empty all afternoon. He makes several attempts at seduction, only to learn that it is much more complicated and difficult than he could have imagined.
