its hard to explain but i would say when they are younger they are more like zuccini and when they get older they are similar to butternut squash or a sweet pumpkin. they are very versitile i have made bread with them (just sub for zuccini). i have made pies with them (just sub for pumpkin). i have even made jams with them. you can cook them and just add some butter and brown sugar. you can chop them up and fry them in a pan with spices. you can batter and deep fry them. they are by far the most versitile veggie i have ever grown.
