Yes, to both questions. But you will have to call to activate it or just put your SIM card in it. If you don't have one of your own, you may have to have them send a new one. But any SIM card will work, that's what I was told at my AT&T store when I got my new phone.

Make sure you contact/call Straight Talk to make sure it works in your area as well. Straight talk does say there are certain models that work in certain areas.

It is a plain phone, does do text, pictures, I was able to email from it too, and I paid more then $19.99 for it. It is a simple phone and very easy to operate. Thanks for asking.

this is ur standard phone it has no games no Bluetooth for file transfers it can download rintones but they don't sound good it has like contacts texts and web but only facebook works on it and the signal is shot for these phones . I have had 3 and I know how they are they are only 19.99 at walmart so that tells u everything u need to know about the phone
