This emerald (as well as the smaller 30 some carat I also have listed) has been sitting in my box since forever. I've been hesitant to list it here because I'm afraid I'll find out later it was worth a little something but honestly I'm ready to part with it. I don't want to invest the time and money to get it appraised/evaluated. My laziness might be your gain. But then again it may not be worth a ton. I just want to get rid of it before I lose it.

I don't have any paperwork and have forgotten the exact carat weight and origin. I can tell you that the species is beryl (what emerald originates from) and that it is color treated- which (in essence) means any surface cracks are treated with color to make it look more uniform.

It's a true gemstone/emerald and would make a unique addition to a collection. It is big enough that wire wrapping and setting would be a cinch.

The penny is just for a size reference. You will not be receiving the penny. It's about an inch by half inch.
