Today, people know Cecil as the father of Tigers superstar Price Fielder, but those of us who watched him play know him as one of baseball's premier power hitters of the early 1990s. After a few seasons with the Blue Jays, Fielder played a season in Japan and came back with renewed power. In 1990 he became only the 11th man in baseball history to club over 50 home runs in a season, and followed it with another 44 home run season in 1991. He played on 3 All Star teams, won 2 Silver Sluggers, and was a member of the Yankees 1996 World Series championship team.
