The extra $50 for 3G is worth it. Being able to read wikipedia from anywhere is useful for settling arguments, bets, etc! lol

Just download kindle (you can do this on your computer, ipad, iphone, or other smart device) and then shop for books at Amazon.com they will automatically sync with all the devices you have set up.
