The listing, Fossilized Backbone Vertabrae has ended.
I was not sure what this was when I found it on the beach but was told by someone it is a part of the backbone from some sea creature. If that is not correct and you know what this is please feel free to enlighten me. It is about 1.5 inches across.

Wow...another great fossil!! You've some great listings!! :)
Yes, I can see that you are!! I'm jealous--I've got a nice metal detector and have found no places up here to use it!! I always wanted to move to Wilmington area, but you know how life is...it has a funny way of changing the best-laid plans...anyway, I'm going to bid on at least a couple of your finds--keep up the great work, and enjoy those walks on the beach for me!!! :)
I always wanted to live near the beach so about 5 years ago I left my job, sold my house, rented a house online sight unseen, packed up my son and I and we headed for the beach. I have not looked back. It was crazy and I'm not sure I'd be that brave now but I have no regrets. Good luck bidding.
Now that I live near a beach I can't drive to get there. ugh! If you have a college near you, see if they have a bio class when strange thinges come up. They would love to see and answer what it is. When I lived in Lake Havesu, Az I used to do that all the time. Keep up the good hunting....we are loving you work!
very cool! my mom found a fossilized snail thats roughly a foot and a half around and weighs over 10 pounds. If a snail was that big, imagine how big the creature your fossil belongs to was. Scary!
