Description

The listing, Tiny Appaloosa Horse has ended.

Up for bid is a little (2" x 2") stylish black horse. He has turquoise eyes and appaloosa spots. He makes an adorable knick-knack. I am not sure what he is made of. Could be some kind of polymer, but he weighs too much to be made of cheap-o plastic. He is solid 'something'. There is some writing on the bottom, possibly a signature. It looks like it says 'TOLEDO' or something similar.

At the moment I have a family member in the hospital, so I may not respond immediately to comments or mail. Please rest assured that I WILL answer all questions and I WILL ship within the 7 day time frame.

I ship only to verified addresses and abide by Listia rules. I am happy to combine shipping should you win more than one of my auctions. I do my absolute best to pack items safely and find the least expensive shipping possible. Please contact me with any questions before you bid.

It was a gift to me from someone who was in to fetish-type things. I am not sure if it is stone.... it is definitely not plastic, too heavy, but almost too light for stone.

an old trick is to tap it against your teeth and if it is plastic it will make a dull sound but if it is not plastic i.e. stone then it will make a sharper sound---I've done this for years and it works---very nice horse!

Thanks for the hint. It sounds like stone to me.... I compared with the sound made by something that I KNOW is plastic.

back in the Victorian days Hollyhocks were grown near an Outhouse so I call them my "Outhouse Hollyhocks" since they are Heirloom plants---ladies in the Victorian times asked where the Hollyhocks were growing instead of asking for "the Outhouse" LOL not quite exotic LOL

Well, thats a bit of 'memorabilia'. I will try that the next time I need the facilities, see if the custom still exists.

hey there wildgoosechase---obviously this is stone but! another trick for plastic was to heat up the end of a pin until it was hot and then stick it into whatever it was you wanted to test--and if it is plastic you will then have a little hole---I don't recommend this test because if this is a collectible item then it will have that little hole in it (even if it was done on the bottom or where you wouldn't see it) but in general if you want you can also rub the item until it feels warm---then old collectible plastic would have an odor because it would be celluloid plastic(1930's and 1940's) I used to have lots of it because I collected it---just sayin'!
