really? I did not know that; but that makes total sense, the portal will only work for the system intended but the object should go on any portal, correct me if Im wrong

If you have never used it on a portal of any kind then this piece will work universally with any system and either of the Skylander games.

all skylanders work on all systems except the ipad ones. and all portals work on the systems they are made to worj on and also the pc and mac.I have skylanders for ps3 and wii and my boys go back and forth with the skylanders all the time

Not all skylanders work on all systems. The Skylanders Spyros adventure will work on Giants, but Giants WILL NOT work on Spyros Adventure unless they are the second versions or reposes.

No, the Giants won't work on Spyro's Adventure on all systems. Only Series 2 Skylanders.

Yes, Blacksheep, we found that out; my grandson has the Giants too and they are game specific.I should mention this is not a Giants object.
