Uncancelled German Nazi emblem stamp and Japanese rising sun with zero issued after Pearl Harbor attack. Two World War II stamps from two major Axis powers.

Note--Stamps scanned in plastic mounts so scan makes them appear lighter than in real life and somewhat distorted. Actual stamps share, bright and clear in color and not distorted as scan makes them appear. Stamps pictured are stamps winner will receive.

Te Japanese Zero was in many ways a modified version of Howard Hughes' HRI a plane rejected by the military in favor of slower, heavy armored aircraft like the Brewster Buffalo--a plane that was a military disaster. The Zero finally met it's match in P-38, Corsairs, and P-51 as war progressed but early on was the top plane in the Pacific.
