I Do Not know the story on this bell but it is old.

This is a dinner bell candle holder. Made of pewter. Dating back to the late 1800's but may be a replica. This is a pair of 5" tall pewter bell candle holders. They are 3" in diameter at the bottom and 1 1/2" in diameter at the top. The makers mark is an anvil that is pressed on the top of the bell portion.

I am trying to find more info on it for you. as soon as I do, I will post it.

Is there any markings on the bell? It looks old but i dont know what it could have been used for...hmmm might be a good conversation piece..fanned and watching!

i think your bell has a handle..the yoke..missing from it. Is it heavy or light? I think we need a little more info on it..if you had a magnet you could see if it sticks to the magnet. It looks aluminum but it could be pewter. all this would be easy for you to find out. thanks!

It looks like the handle is a candle holder. But not sure. A magnet Does NOT stick to it. And I think it is lighter. Thank you for the awsome questions!
