The listing, Vintage Valentine's - Domestic Theme has ended.
These are 5 old Valentines from the 40's. I bundled these together because they were either about sewing or cooking. These are so cute. 3 of them stand, 1 in picture 2 slides to reveal a secret message, and the 1 in picture 4 and 5 that looks like the "Campbell Soup Kids" opens like a regular card.
These were cards that were used on Valentine's Day and sent to kids in their classrooms so all of them are signed. However, they are in excellent condition. I know the history on these because they were from my husband's family. His grandmother was a teacher and she must have loved Valentine's Day because she saved many in a shirt box and stored them in the attic of the farmhouse. I saved a lot for myself but I have way too many to keep. I am putting several lots up for auction.
Most of them are marked somewhere on the card "Made in the USA". Manufactures on 2 say A-Meri-Card, and 1 says an American Greeting card.
I will ship these for free and I can make sure you have them in time for Valentine's Day. They would be darling made into a wreath or displayed in some way. I think they are too nice to cut up but I have done that with some of the older ones that are torn and made vintage looking labels and cards.
Happy bidding and if you love this holiday look for my other Vintage Valentines. Some are even older and I have a Victorian Lot where most are marked "Made or Printed in Germany"
