its hard to tell if it works by the pics shown. help?

Oh it works after I fixed it...lol- it's also been refurbished & I replaced the hard drive. The processor, board, mem allwere tested & passed. When I got the laptop, te screen was dead-the boot sequence lit up but no picture. On dissasembly, I saw tiny blue specs covering the mainboard. That told me that the thermal paste protecting the processor had dried up to due overheating. why did it overheat? The vents, filters, fans were clogged with a thick coat of dust. Blew all of it out with compressed air, cleaned every piece by hand, baked the board for a half hour to ensure all the soldering points were connected and bam! Just like new. It ran so good I even upgraded the OS to Windows 8.

Thinking too much out of the box- laptop running on battery-testing to see if holds the charge- I'll give a 7 out of 10. Chords you see are hooked to a power strip that are connected to a desktop & 3 other laptops
