Okra is a must in my garden every year. My favorite is to fry it whole with a batter like you would use on fried mushrooms, so you can eat it with your fingers. But most people slice it and fry it. It is also great steamed because if you boil it it gets really slimy which a lot of people do not like. We had such a bad drought last year it only grew to 3 foot high and normally it will grow up to 5 feet or more but it still produced enough to eat all summer long. Harvest when they are 2-3" long to avoid them being to tough to eat. Good luck!
I love my okra. I plant it every year here in NC and it can grow to 7 feet and grow stems that get as think as a tree. How many seeds do we get? I like toasting mine in the toaster oven, nice and crunchy.
