That medal is serves primarily as recognition for personnel who have deployed in support of the War on Terror to locations beyond Iraq and Afghanistan.

yes , I have "lost" my desert storm medals thru divorce cruelty , so to say , and the VA program was able to replace them twice , at no charge to me , so yeah , former owner either already replaced them , or just was not aware of it . F & W !
