prepaid service, (you buy virgin mobile top up cards just like you would for a cell phone) portable, connect up to 5 devices simultaneously. Doesn't need to be plugged in, charge it and take on the go. 3G and 4G network. The network will automatically attempt to connect to a 4G network, if it can't it will connect to 3G (my house for example is in a cornfield about 30 mins outside of town and gets the 3G network) Works great, wonderful product, but got the charter play package and no longer need. I paid just over $120 for it after taxes plus an additional $55 for 5GB of data service. Comes with charging cable with removable prongs and becomes a plain USB cable. Still have original box it came in.
