Happy bidding :)
Also, I'd like to know when the best time of day it is for my MCR auctions to end. I know I like to be at an auction when it ends to get the last bid. So leave me your favorite times below so I can better serve my fans :)
Questions & Comments
I like them to end in the wee hours, say 2a-6a. I think I'm up against more expert bidders, but fewer of them. Another thing: in respect to the number of days an auction runs. I've observed that a very high percentage of auctions for Coke or Kellogg's points don't have much action until the last few minutes, regardless of how long it runs. It may get an initial bid, often it won't, but then nothing will happen until the auction is near to closing. In the last 10 seconds is when they'll explode if they're going to. My point, buyers are compulsive by nature. Most of us will take a cookie now rather than 2 cookies later. Keep the days at the minimum. They attract more interest. I never fail to mark an auction I like for my watchlist if it ends in less than 72 hours, but I'll often exit right out of a longer auction and forget to mark it entirely. Since most of my bidding is done from my watchlist, that could mean I'd miss it entirely. Have a look at your older auctions and "see more" of their Bidding History. You'll see an extremely high incidence of early (maybe) and late (most certainly) bidding, but precious little in between. I surmise that a one day get acquainted lead time is more than adequate and that an actual auction time of an hour is even too much. So keep it at 3 days and keep our attention:-)
