This cuff is great, but we have another one and the nurse has one and the caregiver has one... It DOES NOT INFLATE AUTOMATICALLY! You put on the cuff, turn on the digital display and YOU pump until it is tight and the machine takes over from there. There is an air release button on the air pumping bulb when your reading is complete. It also tells you your pulse.
