Roger Tallmadge Little Eagle established his Indian goods business in 1954 just north of the Wisconsin Dells. The business and museum grew into the largest Indian owned Indian business in that state. His son Lance Tallmadge, who was featured in the July 12, 1992, Milwaukee Journal, stated: "The Winnebago have always been a part of what is now Wisconsin. The Dells served as a mid-point for the Winnebago Nation's yearly migration along the Wisconsin River and became a place of spiritual renewal. The U.S. government moved the Winnebago to a reservation in Nebraska in the 1870s, but as soon as they got off the train, some started heading home again on foot." Chief Little Eagle died in 1979.
