The Apple iDog is a little toy dog you attach to your iPod or phone just like your headphones. Not only does it play music through tiny speakers, but it also lights up and moves around,. The iDog's paws tap to your tunes, the head bops to the beat, the ears move and groove and the tail wags. You will need two AA batteries (included) for your iDog--be it the Dance, Soft Speaker, Amp'd or another version. Stand your iDog back up on its feet and push its nose. You'll hear a noise, see a light and watch its ears move. "Puppy mode" is now active. Your new toy is awaiting a personality, which you will determine based on the type of music you feed it. It may be hyper or mellow or anywhere in between. Its personality shows when you push the nose button quickly. When you wave your hand over its head, the LED lights will glow and blink in a pattern. You can plug any mp3 player or portable CD player into the iDog to play music. After it has been given a meal of music, your new pet will respond in a manner of its own. It will dance to songs and, when you press its nose quickly two times, it will begin to show its personality. After your iDog's personality is well-established, When the middle LED light (a purple/pink color) flashes, it means your iDog needs attention. The more starved it is for both attention and music, the faster it will blink its lights. All you have to do to give it attention is pet it or push its nose. You also must feed the iDog five minutes of music every hour. If you do not keep up with regular feedings, your pet will let you know by blinking a blue LED light on its nose. At this point, all you need to do is place your pet next to any speaker playing music--you no longer have to plug a music source directly into it. If you can do these simple steps, you will soon learn your iDog's personality and keep it happy.
