Description

The listing, BROWNIE JUNIOR 6 -16 CAMERA Nice Condition has ended.

Brownie Junior 6 /16 Type: Box roll Manufacturer EASTMAN KODAK Co.
Year: Feb 1934 - Oct 1942.
Format: Film 620 (6 X 9cm)
Lens: Meniscus.
Shutter: Rotary.
Original Price: $2.25
With this Six-20 BrownieJunior, Kodak remains faithful to the principles which made the success of Brownies but it improves the way this camera is manufactured.
The paperboard remains the main component but metal (almost) replaced wood for the body.
This camera manufactured in US has been proposed with two different front faces : black front face and art-decó face (this pic).
Two variants exist of this Art-Deco front face : with and without mention.
The aperture, which consists of two holes, is selected by pulling a tab on top of the camera.
Another tab to the right of the aperture tab is used to lock the shutter open for long exposures. The framing is done using one of the two reflex viewfinders.
To open this camera is like trying to find the secret of a Chinese mystery box!... You must first pull on the film advance key then, pull up the button to which the handle is attached. The back will then slide out and you may load the 620 film. I have tried to give you as much detail as possible. This camera is in very good condition considering the age .The only flaw I can see is that on of the view lenses is loose and needs to be glued back into place..

give it back! lol that's funny! i didn't mean to insinuate that you stole it, but re-reading my post, it looks like it, yeah? no, i've had many things over the years that have disappeared due to my own negligence... thanks for the chuckle this morning.

I took one like this maybe a little newer. I still have it. I took it to the Bahama's during my senior class trip. I'm originally from Detroit. I promise it took the best pictures. Everyone should try out photography with this type of camera then move up!! Good auction.

This is a great auction!
If it does take 620 film, there are websites that teach you how to reroll 120 film onto a 620 spool, in the case the winner of this auction wants to take this classic out for a spin.

Good luck all!
