what color are they, its hard to tell in the pics?

I see what you mean. i had to look again. i make so many pieces of jewelry i forget what they look like. anyhow this pair is hard to give color on. the top bead is mexican opal bead. it is pretty much a mother of pearl color look. the next bead is tiger's eye jasper. it has browns and yellows in it. the small bead on the bottom is a carnival glass type. all of these beads have a serious sheen to them which makes taking a picture very hard. hope this helps.
