Description

The listing, ANCIENT COIN **LEPTON WIDOW'S MITE*** has ended.

This ancient coin is a little bit smaller than a dime. It does have a hole through it but that means it was used as a necklace charm at some point so you also have that option. it really doesn't take away from this coin uncommon in this condition.

Front: Star image; " * "
back: Anchor image; "--+"

nice anchor and star images. The coin was minted from 103-76BC under Judean King and High Priest Alexander Jannaeus. The coin's sharp contrasts and variable natural colors make this a cherished coin to own or to give. Comes with the Mylar case shown.

Jesus told his disciples that a rich man throws in a large amount of money into a collection plate but it did not make a huge impact on the rich mans pocket. The next lady throws in 2 mites (the smallest monetary denomination being a "mite") and Jesus said she made a much greater donation because that was everything she had.

Do you see that by giving all you have you can make a much bigger impact! Well I am passing the collection plate... Now we just need a giver. ;)

Mark 12:41-44

New King James Version (NKJV)

The Widow’s Two Mites

41 Now Jesus sat opposite the treasury and saw how the people put money into the treasury. And many who were rich put in much. 42 Then one poor widow came and threw in two mites,[a] which make a quadrans. 43 So He called His disciples to Himself and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all those who have given to the treasury; 44 for they all put in out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all that she had, her whole livelihood.”

Do u have any more of these or is this your only one? Do you have a Prutah widow mite? I am very eager to get my hands on one of these expecially one that you can actually see the anchor and sun marks. Im an avid theology collector and this piece would be a nice addition to my collection.

The Prutah came later so those are more refined in the details. Nope, this is all I have. Thanks for your interest.
