I know its a replica because of the bear pictured on the back ...if it were real it would say 'dollar' under the '1/2' on the reverse instead of the bear.
it may be 'gold filled' just a heavy plating process but the toning is off for it to be solid gold. I assure you this is a replica, very very cool.
