Questions & Comments
Who made this? Picture of markings? Sterling silver marks?
You know the jeweller used one of those maglights and said he saw tiny makers marks on the bottom but could not identify them, I know I can't make it out-sorry couldn't be of more help.
I need to get out of New York, and move to Hawaii....Your profile pic made me feel even colder and more sun starved than ever.:(...But Fanned and Watching.:)
I've had a few comments like yours, the only answer I can give is- you'll make it-we'll be here waiting! Whats nice is if you do happen to win one of my auctions- I'll even tease you even more with bonus gifts from Hawaii(>‿◠)✌ Aloha
Love this will bid again & again:) Does the glass vial or tiny bottle stay secure, if it is being worn?? I guess what I mean, is does it fit fairly snug in the pendant? Thanks!!
Excellent question! When I got the piece, it was covered in black soot. it was never cleaned. Couldn't tell if it was really what is was supposed to be & I wanted to see marks. The glass vial, and it is glass not plastic was secure in the pendant. when I got back from cleaning the jeweler said there was some kind of green mass which he said was used to secure the vial in place and he said it was unappealing to the eye-had it removed and vial is loose but snug enough to stay in- I'll leave it up to the winner to decide on how to have it stay in place r it is now replaceable-the beauty is of course the silver pendant.
Hi, I realize you got this at an estate sale & at least in DC many of them are run by companies, rather than the owners or family. And sometimes the family may not be as knowledgable or remember the details of each piece. Between you & possibly the Jeweler, any approximate age of this one? Thanks!! Not giving up!
