that is not an engine itself. It is a car that goes behind the engine.

Ok ty all i know is it does have power not free -rolling wheels and has the maintenance instructions on oiling ,,but again ty im not good with train stuff got a huge lot of train stuff at a sale,

They like to make passenger diesel engines in "a-b" configuration. They do use them on freight lines once in a while to but it's not very common. The "b" unit comes in both powered and non-powered.
