Description

The listing, Newsprint/Newspaper Nails **No Credits Required** has ended.

No credits required! Here are the FREE instructions for Newspaper Nails! Something you can easily find if you just Google it :)

I'm listing this only because it annoys me to see other's post this auctions requiring your bid when it shouldn't. This isn't a hard to find tutorial at all.

Materials Need--
Top Color Nail Polish (clear)
Light colored nail polish
Rubbing Alcohol
Small bowl (or lid to alcohol)
Strips of newspaper to fit nails

Directions--

1. Pick a light colored nail polish (light grey/silver, light pink, pearl, white, etc--just make sure it's a light color!). Paint nails as you normally would (if you use a top coat before the color, go for it, but it's not needed). Allow to FULLY dry.

2. Dip finger into rubbing alcohol for 5-10 seconds. Be sure to pour the alcohol into a dish or lid. Don't dip it straight into the bottle :) Also, if you have a cut around your fingers, I suggest letting it heal before you do this. Alcohol burns! (one finger at a time! So dip, soak, move to next step BEFORE dipping the next finger)

3. Firmly press newspaper strip to nail. Hold in place for approximately 10 seconds. Slowly peel paper off nail.

4. Finish with a clear top coat to add shine and keep the newsprint on your nail (you must do this step, otherwise the print will wash away)

Now go show off your awesome looking nails!

**Please note, by bidding on this auction, you will NOT receive anything in the mail. If you'd like this sent to your personal email for an easier way to find this DIY later, I can do that.**

**No bidding required.

hehe thanks :) I'm always on Google. When I see all these DIY auctions, I have to look it up first. And if I can't find a tutorial, then I have to figure it out myself lol. But drives me nuts when people try to "sell" free stuff (as in a DIY that can be found easily via Google search).

You hate DIY in general? Or you hate this one?

Everyone is different, and entitled to enjoy their own "taste". I personally liked this DIY, was something fun and different. Loved it even more knowing my little girls like it, and we were able to make it a fun "mommy and me" time.

Lol DIY auctions, they take up to much space and I always think someone made something to bid on but NO its always just crap for email. I love yours. I was going to bid just because it had something in here! I love DIY for myself, I am building a doll house right now. Just don't like the auctions for emailed instructions.

I completely understand when you explain it that way! I'm the same way lol. When I go searching for something, I hate to just find a DIY, I don't want to do it myself, I want someone else to! LOL

Unfortunately, that's all there is to the nails. Unless I went out and bought fake nails, painted them, then auctioned them off. And well, that's just too much work! Plus, I don't feel comfortable opening a package of nails and then auctioning them off. I'm a weird person, and to me, it grosses me out LOL.

What do you do when people don't read and bid anyway? Do the winners ask for refunds?
Feb 11th, 2013 at 7:26:08 PM PST by
Original
Refunds are not given due to buyer's remorse. It is the bidder's job to read the auction completely before placing a bid.

Also, the auction description states the winner (should someone bid) will not receive anything in the mail. And I offer to email these exact instructions to them via any email service or Listia messaging. So, they are in fact still receiving something for their bid.

It works the same as any other DIY auction listed on this site. The only difference is I have the instructions listed for all to see. Leaving it up to me,bets to decide if they want to bid or not.

Does that make sense?

Cute. You can google this on the internet too !!

Indeed :) Which is exactly what I did the first time I seen someone posting a DIY auction. Only they weren't giving away the instructions like I am. You had to win the auction. Figured I'd see if I could find it myself, and if I didn't I may have bid. But, tada! lol
