It is for Verizon plans. I never activated it because I couldn't afford the plan. Comes with battery, that's it. I did not get a charger or anything with it. Very nice phone!! Oh, the sides are a metallic red color :)

I honestly don't know. I bought it off line and it said it was verizon. Verizon was going to activate it so I'm not sure if you can switch sim cards or not.
