You set up an account, and Listia gives you like 600 free credits to start one. You then spend those credits on Coke accounts, bidding higher than people who want to keep their real accounts would bid. Once you spend the free 600 points you reap all the Coke codes from the auctions you won and dump the account without leaving any comments or feedback to the auction lister. You then start a brand new account and get your free 600 credits all over again.
I also report these fake accounts as I see them, and encourage anyone who sells coke points or even looks through auctions for coke points to look for and report fake accounts. It is really very common. You just have to look for:
1. Bidders who just activated their account within the last week. 2. Bidders who WAAAY overbid on coke points, paying sometimes 10X what they would normally go for. 3. Bidders who don't leave feedback for the seller. They will usually have a few auctions won under their account in which the seller has left feedback for them but there is no feedback from the buyer on any of the auctions they won.
Oh, and Olivia, luvubear2 was calling you a narc, aka someone who tells on other people. :p
And yes I realize people can read this and go do it, so if Listia wants to delete that part of my comment I understand. Although most people already know or could figure it out in 2 minutes if that's what they were looking to do.
