No its three inputs one output so if you only have one HDMI input on your tv but three HDMI devices you want to hookup you plug the three into the box and use the select button to choose which device feeds a HDMI signal to the tv without having to unplug and plug HDMI cables from three separate devises saves time and wear on the cable pins
