The listing, 1920s SLINKY METAL MESH "FLAPPER" PURSE has ended.
This amazing, slinky, metallic silver "flapper" purse (2" by 3") fits in the palm of your hand!
It is now kind of a gunmetal or antiqued silver in color; I suspect tarnish but am not knowledgeable enough about this kind of antique to rub jewelry cleaner on it.
There are no marks on the purse that I can find that speak to whether it is base metal or silver (like "STER" or ".925") but it is twice stamped "SPAIN" inside (see photo)
Genuinely excellent condition! It has been in our family for 30 years, at least. I am not at all expert in this type of antique collectible, but I can see nothing broken or damaged.
