Can it connect to a fishing rod?

its not a conventional reel with mounting tabs,but can be affixed to anything such as a limb or tree or milk jug,they can be set and do auto retract, they are made by whites out of arkansas and they have a website. i got a box of 12 and im keeping 2 for myself and selling the rest,the guys down here use them for cat fishin, i keep a few for my( ***** hits the fan) bag if u know what i mean lol, hope that answers your question, mike

it looks like a type of string line, and yes it auto retracts, i quess the guys down here use them for cat fishin, they attach to something like a tree branch and set it and leave it be
