The listing, Genuine Indian Festival Dancing Stick has ended.
Actual Dancing stick for Indians, Do not believe it has ever been actually used in a ceremonial dance, but that is what it would be used for. Great shape! Awsome!!
Questions & Comments
Is this item an authentic piece from a certain tribe? Would like to know more on this ...... Thanks for sharing....
I believe it is from the Navaho (spelling??) Tribe, but cant be sure. I have a lot of indian ancestry and my mother and I visited an Indian ...place where they sold their merchandice ( hand made by the way ) and they danced ceremonial dances etc. It was beautiful, but anyway on our way out a lady let my son look at this and dance around with it for a second. She said they were from Navaho and I bought it from her. She did tell me that it had not been actually used in a dance, but it is exactly like the ones they would use. It is realy neat, actual fur at the top, bells along the top for sound ( I assume ) and leather wrapped around the bottom with beaded tassels. Interesting!!
