The listing, 1969 Topps baseball card lot w/ Orioles has ended.
Here's a lot of eight (8) vintage 1969 Topps baseball cards (NOT reprints) featuring the Baltimore Orioles. Please note the condition of these varies, with many having creases and/or other issues. But then again, these cards are 44 years old. Neat bit of history, especially for an Orioles fan, but if you're picky about condition, this is not the auction for you.
DAVEY JOHNSON was a 4-time All-Star and won 3 Gold Gloves during his playing days before going into managing.
DAVE McNALLY had some great years including a stretch of four 20 Wins seasons (1968-1971), 3 All-Star selections, and 2 championships with Baltimore (1966 & 1970).
TOM PHOEBUS had some good years in the late 60s and pitched a no-hitter against the Boston Red Sox on April 27, 1968.
DAVE LEONHARD pitched six years for the Orioles with an ERA of 3.15.
PETE RICHERT was a 2-time All-Star (1965 & 1966) and part of the '70 World Series winning O's team that also included greats Frank Robinson, Jim Palmer, Brooks Robinson, and Boog Powell.
CURT MOTTON was a back-up outfielder and pinch-hitter for 8 seasons.
VIC ROZNOVSKY was a back-up catcher for 5 years. I like the sexy nurse cartoon on the back of the card. haha
Rookie Stars MIKE ADAMSON & MERV RETTENMUND - Merv was known as a great pinch hitter and won championships with the Orioles (1970) and the Cincinnati Reds (1975) before later becoming a hitting coach.
