Dont take this to the bank but im 99%sure its silver i put a magnetic closure on mine because mine is full and i have noone to help me with it and i have trouble w/hands /old age/lol/anyhow that piece has turned to a copper color with time and cleanings!so im sure with all my purchasing they are silver,the bracelet above also can be made your own by adding more beads and charms of meaning or liking by sliding them on the bracelet on the one end! you can arrange or rearrange as you like as you aquire new beads! you can purchase them here or in some stores in some magazines and def. on-line ive been looking at them they are quite pretty. so if you win purchase new beads to make it your own and have fun like my mom and i did putting mine together many many memories:-):-):-):-):-)good luck
