To clear the ESN you need to call your cell provider and tell them you plan to sell the phone and want the ESN cleared so the new owner can activate it.
It shouldn't cost you anything.

i just checked the ESN the site I check it on said not clean? what does this mean it wasn't reported stolen or lost I switched company's either way its worth it just for.the camera and display I asked a buddy and he said you can still use it you just have to pay to unlock it is that true?
