The listing, Red Cherry seed. Harvest 2010, Open Pollinated, 20+ seeds. has ended.
Red Cherry tomatoes are super bearers of 1 inch diameter fruits. Plants often produce more fruit than can be used. Small and sweet, they are a good addition to salads.
These seeds were open pollinated, and packaged in 2010. Though some seeds lose viablility after a short time, I find tomato seeds stay able to germinate after many years. I've germinated tomatoes after 13 years, and have heard of tomato seed being kept for much longer. Sprouting 50 year old seed is the record.
The large bush in the photo is actually 8 plants grown together. After I realized I had planted them too close to each other, I let them sprawl out of their cages. I couldn't get to the glut of fruit in the middle, which covered the ground after the vines died in the frost.
