The listing, Amethyst Earrings on 14kt gold posts NEW has ended.

New, still on display card
Amethyst in triangle shape posts.
I don't know the carat weight of the stones.
Each of the 2 stones are approximately 1/4 inch on each of its 3 sides. The stones are mounted in 14kt gold.
>Amethyst is a purple variety of quartz. The intensity of color varies from lavenderor a pinkish-violet to deep purple with some variation of tones of blue or red. The deeper colors are considered most valuable but that changes with fashion.
>These particular earrings have a medium intensity of color. They are a true purple, not light nor very dark.
>They have never been taken off the display card.

I imagine that they are stamped but it is practically microscopic. I have never taken them off the display card, but the card header states 14kt gold. The metal is only the POSTS and PRONGS for the stones' settings. I had purchased them from a reputable department store, Nordstrom's, a few years ago, so I am confident in their quality. Nordstrom's is generally considered to be a higher-end department store with a reputation for high quality goods.
