The flat rate shipping cost for a padded envelope that will fit the size of a DVD is $6 or $7 and that is not including the insurance or delivery confirmation.
Hi Vero. Flat Rate Priority Mail Shipping is 5.70 and it does include delivery confirmation. You could also use a flat non-padded envelope for 5.05, which also includes DC. Insurance is not even recommended on items this low value. A better way to ship this would be First Class, in your own envelope (you can always recycle), which would be just $2.21 and also include DC if you print your own postage. No need to overcharge.

I'm not sure where the hell all these people are, but flat rate shipping is 5.95 where I live. And there aren't cheaper options. Listia needs to update their policies to represent the new screw you behavior of the post office.
The lowest price I could find with the most protection for the product is the $5.95 flat rate padded envelope. I wouldn't want to risk a non-padded envelope since the post office is known for its indelicate handling of packages. I would like to know from what source these other prices are being cited.
