The listing, Antique SOLID 14k white gold and white sapphire ring has ended.

This is a 1940's SOLID 14k and white sapphire solitaire with baguettes ring size 9. It shows it age, but can be polished to perfection easily.

have you noticed why you probably have gotten too many people to comeby and see this ring cause of your shipping most people see the pic and dont see free shipping on it and just move along so if you changed it to frre shipping i bet you will have more bids on this

I did a little research. Back in the 1940's there was a scarcity of diamonds so many people went to the white sapphires because the looked so much like diamonds. They are almost as strong, and most people cannot tell them apart. I love it. Fanned and Bidding! Thanks for a great item.

yep, they are pretty close to a diamond....depending on the cut and setting, some jewelers occasionally get fooled when inspecting white sapphires :)

14k and has been tested as true. Also, I didnt get an "official" appraisal, but my jewelry said the sapphire was genuine and mined which is very hard to come by now-a-days because how easy it is to get ahold of stimulants :)
