it is basically a signal repeater. you plug it into a power outlet and it repeats your signal. which in turn expands your coverage.

ok thanks for letting me no and i need one of these because we do not have internet at are house so i do get a lil wifi but only one bar an the internet goes in an out alot an i hate it when it does that because i have to do alot of school work online but thanks :)
