Rose of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus)

*The Rose of Sharon is a small, perennial tree or shrub -depending on how you choose to prune it.
It tolerates almost any type of soil and is very easy to grow with minimal maintenance. It can be planted outside or in containers, and grows well in Zones 5B thru 9A. If planted in the ground, it can grow to a height of 8-12 ft tall and 6-10 ft in width.
*When mature, this deciduous tree/shrub will produce large flowers from late Summer through mid to late Fall (or the first frost) -when few other shrubs are in bloom. Colors can range from lavender, blue, purple, red, pink or white.
