Had this pen for awhile. I got it for my granddaughter when she was 2(shes now 41/2) because it made her laugh when I wiggled it. It does write. I wrote with it a couple of times. It has a clip hook on it so you can hook it onto your purse, pants or whatever you want to clip it to.
